Dr. Karen Sayegh, Acupuncturist

Karen was born with a deep desire to help people, coupled with a love of science and how the body works. That led to her studying Neuroscience at Drew University for a Bachelor of Arts degree, where she graduated in 2001.
While working toward her Master’s degree in Biology at NYU, she landed a coveted position at Mount Sinai School of Medicine doing research on Parkinson's disease in the Neurology department.
After some time working in research, her drive to help people more directly and making an immediate contribution led her to the field of acupuncture. She then went on to become licensed in Acupuncture from the Eastern School of Acupuncture, specializing in Japanese style, in 2007.
She has been practicing in White Plains at Thrive Holistic Wellness Center for more than 12 years, serving thousands of people in the community. Karen is happy to help people not only address symptoms, but change their entire lives by restoring health and empowering people toward permanent change for a lifetime.
Outside of this amazing mission to help people live healthier lives, Karen loves spending time with family, especially her husband Dr. Tony and her three daughters Olivia, Niki & Gabrielle. She loves exercise, and they recently added a new family member that helps with that – puppy Rocket to the family.
